Don't know why this thread isn't more popular. I'll offer a trip for Hanford Reach Upriver Brights this fall in exchange for just about anything you've got. Anyone?

The only catch is that I never catch any fish! The boat ride is usually pleasant though.

Well, I don't flyfish and I usually prefer fish measured in pounds rather than inches, but I suppose I could learn. Smile

I am in Ellensburg. Just got out of the hospital 2 months ago with heart failure. Already walking a mile on the John Wayne trail so doing good. I welcome folks on my walks. There are others that walk with me on occasion but no fishermen. And realizing I have to start fishing again. Life is too short.

And so, I am looking for fishihg friends.

I have a float tube. But would like to find fishing opportunity in the winter months. I gotta stay as active as I can. Will share gas money. I am 48 born and raised in Washington. What can I share, not much, I can trade computer programming (web development) for boat trips in the basin, the Columbia or Puget Sound. I miss the salt. I do know of some places to fish, crab, squid, etc. I know a fair amount about the desert lakes in the basin. I haven't fished the Yak much as I like to take something home for dinner. I am traditionally a trout fisherman but enjoy perch, trout, bass, salmon, rock basss, flounder, catfish, crayfish, whatever. I can't eat red meat anymore but I do eat fish. And I will take as much as I can get within reason and issues of sustainability. Note that I hold a degree in range and wildlife ecology. Worked with the Fish and Game at one time surveying alpine lakes for the health and age of trout populations. So I do know the high lakes. But too old and knarly to get up there much anymore. Though I still walk into a few that are not too far from the road.

I am in Ellensburg. Note that I am 6'3" and 350 pounds. I work outdoors walking the hills so keep in fair shape but I can tip a small boat over if I get to laughing to hard. So no fishing stories. Ok.

Ha!

Hey there, Ken. Sorry to be so late on responding to your post. Would be happy to take you for a ride in my boat sometime. It's pretty stable. Smile Looks like salmon season is about kaput for this year, but there will be some steelhead fishing over the next couple months, so check in with me and we'll see what we can do.

Dan
