Id like to see a few more people start using this board. I tend to do alot more flyfishing than any other method here on the Yakima. Who else here fly fishes ?

GWH,

We're here. It's great to see you join. I love this site and the thought of what it could become, but it still hasn't quite picked up the momentum yet. It gets better during the Steelhead season on the Snake. Hopefully, this season it just might grow enough so that it doesn't go through the periods of silence. I'm a working stiff with two small kids and a working Mrs too, so I don't get out nearly as much as I would like, so I seldom have too much to report. None the less, I check the site regularly to see what others in the area are up to. BTW, you've got me really interested in your 1 man catarafts--I suspect I'll be buying one just as soon as I can round up the cash.

Look forward to swapping stories in the upcoming months,

Mark

GWH,

I love fly fishing. I started fly fishing for steelhead last year and really enjoyed it. They put up an incredible fight on a fly rod. I tend to enhoy really small streams when fishing with my fly rod. I have also fly fished for other smaller trout.

As far as the site? It tends to go in spurts. I was hoping it would have became a little more active during bass season. It didn't catch on like expected. It is more active during Steelhead season so I hope you stick around to see.

My time has been gobbled up in my work. THis will soon change during the months of September and October. I will be out at least twice a week fishing for Salmon. As stated, perhaps we can hook-up during the time.

Aaron (Lwagg) and E-mann, and a few others are really active on the boards but also get wrapped up in their jobs. It makes it difficult to keep the momentum at times..

But.... We are now at 111 registered users which is fantastic. We've only been around since 10/2003.

anyhows,

Thanks to all for being members!

LOL I was getting lonely Very Happy , I will put this url to some other friends that are online alot although they are mostly on the fly fishing forums. Alot of them are from the SW Wa. area and have extensive knowledge of the NFL and the lakes in that area including a guide or two. We just had a rondi here on the Yak 2 weeks ago and although it was very hot and the fishing was fairly slow we had a blast. Would anyone on this board be interested in something like that ? As I stated in another thread also we are doing a 4 day float down the Klickitat river the 17-21 of next month and if any of you are interested youd prolly be welcome to go. If anyone shows interest Ill post the url of that thread explaining the plans and logistics of the trip.

I'm in Ellensburg also. Mostly fly fish but I get maybe 2 weeks a year of non-fly in too. Haven't been fishing last 6 weeks much 'cept for a couple times way up in the hills where the waters cooler and there is some shade. I'd been up for some fall or winter Yak fishing. I tend to go elsewhere when the crowds are out.
I can't make the Klick float this time but would be up for early rising day jaunts down there. Never fished it but am ready and willing.

Brian,

This place can't be any good, they'll let anyone in. I just walked right through the front door and no one even noticed.

Can't say how much I'll add to this site, I seem to use up all my extra time at a couple of others and I don't know that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to this fly fishing stuff.

The Yak trip was fun. I'd like to do one again when the rubber hatch isn't quite so strong.

Klick is coming up, should be a blast.

Later
