New to site! Have never fished Tucannon River but drive by it often. Looking for any information on where to fish south of Highway 12 and what to use.

Most of the fish are being picked up near the mouth of the Tucannon this time of year. Once more water comes through, it should flush a few fish upstream.

The fish typically hold in the pools on this section of the river. The pools are few and far between and require some hiking. Also, make sure you have permission from the land owners in these areas to access the river.

I would recommend a fly rod with a steelhead pattern.
