Hey there,

New to this area. Have heard that the Walla Walla can be good (at times). I'm going to give it a try this weekend from Milton-F on up. Probably try some fly's and I might drift a jig or two. Let you know how it goes.

I"m planning on being on that same water on Monday. If I'm sneeky, I might get and hour or two in X-mas morning........

Don't discount the power of spinners on this river. Especially if you find a few pockets of deep water that isn't moving.

Any special Reulations on this water?

I know it is artificial flys and lures, no baits. Is there anything else?

Barbless hooks?
Single or treble hooks?

I know it's barbless in WA and all tribs closed.

You need a permit from me to fish between the mouth and the OR border. And I'm fresh out. Damn. Try next year

I have heard that guys are fishing the Walla Walla with plugs? Anyone know what color works well? and how has the fishing been from the oregon-washington border to the mouth

Well, didn't catch any steelhead this last week but I did catch this within the city limits of Milton-Freewater....
