I spent the last few days fishing on a small private lake in 60 degree weather. It was beautiful and I had a great time fishing. I toted my fly rod on a small boat. I used a wooly bugger, floating line, and a strike indicator. The wooly bugger was black and had a bead on the end to sink it slowly down. It was a dangerous combination. I caught 5 14"-16" rainbow trout in no time.

I spend more time trout fishing then I have ever spent Bass fishing, but the water temps have been so warm in the Spokane area that trout fishing has been very slow. I went out and gave my hand a try at Bass fishing, what a hoot. Wow! Pound for pound what a fight each fish puts up whether small or large. Each one trys to act bigger than it actually is. I definately have a lot to learn about Bass fishing however, I had to get alot of tips before I even caught my first fish. Suppose that's how all fishermen start though. Still what a blast, can't believe I have been missing out on this.
