It's been a while since I have posted. Summertime is usually a busy time for me and my family. The kids are out of school and we spend most of our "free" time traveling to the mountains.

I have been doing lots of fishing in the mountains of Oregon. Stream and Lake trout fishing has been very productive.

Last weekend I had a chance to land a 17 inch German Brown. I was excited. It was caught on a Blue Fox spinner. I really wasn't expecting to catch anything so it was a complete suprise.

I can't wait for Steelhead and Salmon season! Keep the line tight.

First post! (I think!)

I made it out last weekend on a float on the Yakima in the Canyon below Ellensburg. It was a nice evening. We did well tossing big stoneflies and grasshoppers against the grassy banks. It's fun to see those takes on the surface.

Anyways. Thought I'd finally post. I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments and glad to see people actually discuss fishing and what's working rather than preaching.

Tom,

I have done lots of fishing on the Touchet River in the past for spring trout. I also love watching the fish take the surface fly. I have also had lots of luck with flies on Big 4 at Tucannon Lakes. (Fly only)

I didn't get out much this year due to the decline of trout on this river. I am, however, always seeking a new hole. Perhaps I'll get a chance to see you on the Yakima this salmon season throwing a big nasty fly pattern Very Happy
