2006 Catchable Trout Plants - Region 3
These are tentative numbers and subject to change
- All trout are rainbow
unless noted otherwise.
- Brown trout are noted
as "Browns".
- Most catchable sized
trout are about 1/3 pound each.
- Smaller 1/4 pound fish
are stocked in Sept & Oct.
- Larger "jumbo" & "triploid"
trout are also stocked.
- Jumbo - rainbow trout
approx. 1 lb. each (1/2 lb at Elton Pd - North).
- Triploid - sterile
rainbow trout approx. 1.5 lb. each.
- Brood stock rainbow
trout (3-10 lbs each) are not normally available until winter.

The ponds were breached to provide off channel salmon and resident trout
rearing habitat in the Yakima River.
The fish will be distributed among other lakes in the area.
