1. Where is a good place to go on the Yakima?
2. Went to Horn Rapids on Sunday and the water was very fast. What is a good setup to fish in such fast water?
I am fairly new to fishing, haven't done it in 20 years until recently, so be gentle and very explanatory. Thanks in advance for any help.

Vessehune,
A good bet is to look for places where fishermen are congregating. A good spot which accessible from the shore will almost always attract fishermen if fishing is worthwhile.
I checked on the Yak this weekend and it was too muddy for me. Plunkers can fish in pretty muddy water but I didn't even see plunkers at the spots I checked.
Does anybody have a fishing report on the Yak?

I've not heard much from the Yak, and the hot weather predicted for this weekend should only make the mud worse. But like JimmyD said, plunkers shine in conditions of off-color and high-flow. If you're clever, find a section of river where the flow is so powerful that the fish will be clearly channelled into a specific lane, then set up your plunking gear to intercept them. Use a huge spin-n-glow and bright prawn or gob of eggs and a 6 oz pyramid sinker. Set it up like a standard dropper/leader rig and do your best to keep it from tangling when you cast it out. attach a bell, park the rod, and kick back.
Good luck
