I have searched the forums and internet and google and everywhere I can think of. I need help finding a good fishing map. I would like to have it show details about the Columbia, snake and tributaries. With detailed road and backroad access. And anything else you guys might think a newbie can use...

Oh and I need to buddy up with someone for a day fishing....hehehehehe...

Treasure,

You can purchase these maps at Sportsman's Warehouse in Tri-Cities. I also saw them at GI-Joes in Tri-Cities as well. You can purchase different maps for different sections of the river. They show depth, channels, and have a few hints where the Bass hang out. They are equally as helpful for navigation. The maps covered the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

I have not seen any maps for the tributaries but I am sure the exist.

As far as backroad access, you can download google earth for free. Find an area you would like to fish and see if a detailed map exists. You might find a dirt road leading into the fishing hole. The Google Maps were detailed enough for me on the Yakima River to find several good holes. You could even see power lines which gave you a great reference.

Think you are looking for the Washington Atlas and Gazeteeer shop.delorme.com/OA_HT...ginIndex=0 Any good sporting goods store will have them or order direct from Delorme.

If you want details on the rivers themselves there are some good navigation maps out there. Could dig up some details if you need them.

I just bought a metsker walla walla county map and was a bit disapointed in it. I went to there site and I think the metsker navigational aids is closer to what I am looking for. If they only had it for snake and columbia...

I will search the internet for the stores mentionned above and will look at the google earth thing too.

thanks guys...I went out today with nothing at all happeninng..not even a bass...Skunked big time...

I willl be at ice harbor bright and early in the morning. up at the road access by the restrooms.

Look for the guy ouut in the middle of the road on his rear end...
