well lets see where to start ..... IT was a beautiful morning the sun was out and it was looking great, traffic was smooth and was at the ramp at about AM, dropped the boat in the water parked truck jumped in fired the boat up and let it warm up.......spit sputter and died OMG start dang it (thank goodness i let it warm up and was still tied to the dock) would not start so pulled the plugs getting spark OK fuel in the separator but... lets check the carb unscrew the drain screw no fuel .... dang float must be stuck.... whacked it with screw driver and yippee getting gas lets go fishing !!!! NOT SO FAST gas dumps out of the carb now the stupid float not shutting off ..... load the boat up park in the parking lot and tear into it 2 hours later everything nice and clean (thank heavens i keep wd-40 in the boat) and this time back into the water and start the engine runs smooth as silk OK launch and off to go fishing keep in mine it 10 am and the spot I wanna fish is at least a 30 min boat ride ..... off i go get to new spot I wanted to try up the Multnomah channel fished around 4 different spots and got 1 bite OK now it almost noon fun back to Kelly point anchor up and finally some action over the next 2 hours i hooked into 7 shakers and 2 the spit the hook (small hook small bait suppose to be the ticket in cold water uhmmmmm spit spit spit back to 7/0 hooks no more spit)
all in all a eventful day and lots of fun had one shaker that swallowed the hook so while he was out of the water i took pics of the little guy so you all could see how sharp his scales where enjoy will be out there again this weekend and give you another report OH YEAH SMELT RUN HAS HIT THE COWLITZ RIVER 20lb limit no license required (now wheres that net????)
