Hey everyone,
I have never been chinook fishing before and I am getting ready to take my first trip in 2 weeks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where a good location to bank fish under the bonneville dam is and how to actually get there. We weren't sure how to get down below the dam when we drove bye. I was also wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to rig up for bank fishing bait, tackle, and all. The help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
RAE

RAE, pick up the latest edition of Fishing and Hunting News. There's an article about bank fishing for springers and lots of how-to articles. Best few bucks you can spend right now.
And let us know how ya do!

Thanks alot for the tip, I will. I think has to be about one of the best sites I have visited. I ask a question and a day later I get some really good advise. I will keep everybody up to date as to how I do and what the fishing was like.
Thanks

RAE, stop by on your way home to Spokane and we'll vacuum pack your fish. Of course, you might notice that some fillets have disappeared. . . .

I think I might have to take you up on that, so that the catch stays fresh for the drive. As for some of the fillets coming up missing, boy that would be just to bad.......I hope they will go to good use!!

Thanks Tojo,
Thats exactly some of the information that I was looking for as I have never fished that area. I just want to make sure that I am prepared as I am taking my Dad with me and want this to be a memorable trip for both of us. I hear alot about 0 fer trips and would like to not experience this if at all possibile.
