Left work at noon. Took short snooze....mistake :/
Got to my favorite spot before 3 and pretty quick was into 'em. And there was quite a bunch around, sticky together mostly. The first fish had a dozen of his buddies by his side to no avail Very Happy Fish fought bulldoggy today and weren't into jumping? Action was fast for an hour then after a smallie broke off just before I could get a hand on him it really dropped off. Still had some nice fish "lookin'" but no takers Sad All fish were good, but no pigs today. Saw some to at least 18"s and there were pairs about. I wish I would have headed straight down after bailing from work early. Only fished for 2 hrs. As good as it was, if you take account the pile of fish I saw they could only be rated as half on the bite I think.
Beautiful day all around. Water was up some and high even above dam. Saw some guys in boats chasin' kings I guess. Thought??? maybe some Kings were crashing over a well defined riffle/break at end of an island leading out of the mainstem? Not the place for carp and these were big fish. Carp were floating/suspended in backbays in good numbers. Some other bug eaters slurping caddis here and there. Along the banks I walked you could find committed feeding carp here and there that looked very catchable. I got to wondering if a guy would have started early if he could have gotten some sort of "triple" with smallie's interested and feeder carp around and Salmon.....available Smile I was packin' 3 rods...but not the right 3 for that. Maybe hit it again earlier tomorrow....:/ It's never the same 2 days in a row though Rolling Eyes
