48 hrs later....
Medium wind when I got there after 2 or so. Water was low. Vision poor. Scatter clouds. Little cooler all around than friday. Still in shorts wet wading comfortably. Carp were out of the shallows, still saw some dark shadows moving about in 3 + feet of water. Just a handul of risers. Surface was rough from wind. No bumps or sightings of bass. Think the low water convinced the bass to retreat out to the mainstem. I was able to work the "honey hole" good in this low water but it wasn't happening. By the time I was up to Vantage wind surfers were zooming back and forth at quite a clip.

Boats were out for kings in numbers not seen since last fall. Actually saw something landed from about 150 yards by a backtroller and would presume it was a king or maybe a steelhead.

Ran into some locals that I see down there from time to time. They were just pulling into pond that connects to the river below Beverly. Ask 'em how the season had gone. They said it was a weird year and they were catchin' lots of little ones. They were still wound up to go at it again and said it beats sittin around the house

Short trip due to seemingly poor bass conditions......hope for some nicer days to give it another shot.
