Was thinking about hitting Ringold Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. Anybody care to join me?
I'll be launching at Snyder and running up, possibly as far as the Powerlines. Boat does 50+, so it doesn't take too long.

Well, due to family matters I ended up only having a couple hours to fish the mouth the of Yak tonight. Fished Kwiks and helmeted herring--something I never do--and got skunked completely. Not even a bump. As usual, lots of milfoil in the water, gunking up downriggers, but not too much on our gear--the water was actually fishable.
Saw one boat that appeared to be dragging a dead salmon around behind it. Was interesting--it was a bass/walleye boat with no riggers and the guys were holding their rods which did not appear to be loaded up by jet divers or weights. Just looked like they were pulling bare plugs downstream. But I think they had a fish. Hmmmmm.
Not very many boats out there either.
