I had a chance to spend some time on the river today fishing for bass. I also launched my pontoon boat for the first time.

Our group headed out at 0900 hours and had much success. The water was warm and the outside temperature today was around 92 degrees.

We fished with crankbait and jigs. Tiger striped crankbait seemed to be effective. We were using a more top water type crank. We also had a great success with dog turd colored twin tails.

I was able to land a 5 pounder off a twin tail. This fish had beautiful color and was full of fight.

If you haven't hit the rivers in a while, get to it.. The bass are on!

We were out friday & saturday and had a tough time on the columbia. We were from priest to wanapum and cover all kinds of water. Got a few and miss on some too but they were not all fired up by any means. Wind kept us off the boat friday so we hit the mudflats for carp. It's been getting hotter everyday though, so it's about time. Curious WHICH river you were on..Snake, Yakima, Columbia...?

I could see that river being quite a bit warmer than the Columbia at this point. We didn't see any other boats get a thing so we knew it wasn't us Rolling Eyes

Thanks
