Well I decided it was time to go fishing and find some dinner. left the house at 4:30 and reached Dalton point at about 5:30am and headed down to skamania island, the weather people said the winds would be calmer today boy did they miss that a steady 10 - 15 mph breeze and a chilly 48 degrees made it a tad chilly this morning. I fished this area 2 weeks ago with 8 to 10 oz of lead to hold the bottom, NOT TODAY Bonneville must be putting out the water as I need 32oz to hold the bottom, the wind cutting threw me I actually had to turn on the heater to warm up the fast current took my buoy on the anchor rope under and I knew it was gonna be hard fishing for the first 4 casts it was adding weight reel in add weight reel in, finally stayed on the bottom. about 1 1/2 later I finally get a bite I can feel I set the hook and this nice 47 incher came up to come to dinner.
