I was curious to see what the general fishing population thought about the state of our salmon/steelhead runs.

There can be little doubt that (generally speaking) harvest (direct harvest, or harvest of forage species) has a huge impact.

I am giving this thread a bump and a move into our "most views" area. I am curious to see opinions.

It depends upon which watershed you are referring to...

Every river has its own problems. Idaho's biggest problem is the hydro system, while coastal streams face habitat issues, and other rivers are lamblasted with predation.

Where are sealions on the poll? I have fished below Bonnelille and watched just a few sealions catch more than all the sportsman in view.

I know this is only one watershed, but it is the largest in the state.
