if you had to choose a spot this weekend between mcnary, ice harbor or lions ferry which would it be?would you fish ice-harbor day or night?i live close by there so im gonna hit it tommorow &friday after work ..but i'm leaning toward lions ferry and the mouth of the tucannon for saturday, also as if this isn't enough questions, last time at lions ferry i got one bight it was when i put a piece of shrimp meat on the back hook of my wiggle wart is this a good way to go or does it mess with the action?

If you want to run shrimp on wiggle warts try putting it on the belly hook, not the tail hook. It works very well sometimes and doesn't bother the action most of the time.
This time of year I usually don't bother with shrimp on plugs but I do it more in winter.

Are you fishing from the boat or the bank? There are some great spots at all locations. The upstream side of the northern most DAM wall at Lower Monumental is usually pretty productive right now. The mouth of the Tucannon from a boat is almost always productive. Fishing from the bank Near the Lions Ferry Hatchery area is a great spot but you have to get there really early (or after noon) to get a good spot.
For me, Ice Harbor has been most productive at sun up / sun down times. There is always that "Noonish" bite that I can never predict.

My preference is the Lyons Ferry area. As Glock says, better be early at the hatchery or you won't find a good spot. I have always had good luck in the Tucannon itself as well in the afternoons. The wall at Little Goose has been productive for me too. It's a two hour drive for me, but usually well worth the effort. The tackle shop in Starbuck has a great selection of gear at very reasonable prices considering they're in the middle of nowhere.

Do yourself a favor and drive up to Palouse Falls when you're in the area if you haven't already. Not running real strong now but still very impressive. Check out this YouTube video of a jetboat in the Palouse river when the falls are running hard...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6uAnmb0xNg&feature=related
