after saying ba humbug to dipping smelt and just buying enough for the year from a commercial gentleman, i decided for my best friends b-day i would take him bank fishing up by white salmon, we saw very little action the guys down from us managed a few shackers, it was prolly about 1pm when kenny's pole danced and i grabed it and felt a tug and then set the hook, he was yelling reel down and hit again as i was still stitting on the log with his pole in my right hand, i yelled it's your birthday you better hit again, he laughed and reeled in a nice little 43", happy birthday to the "KING". for those of you who don't know kenny is not only my best friend but also the guy that taught me to sturgeon fish. as a good friend and a token of all my appreciation over the years he will be at ollies damons in portland tonight picking out his colors for the new bank pole that i bought him for his b-day, make it pretty kenny
