the shad run is over but if you have some shad it would not hurt to fish with them, smelt are all but gone and not available in the bait stores to speak of. sand shrimp and night crawlers will also work there was a great article in salmon and steelhead journal for July on how to tie up sand shrimp.
the weather here has been nice and dry but the winds in the gorge have been gusting
best advice for weather is to check accuweather.com or weather.com for the city of Corbett Oregon or cascade locks Oregon that will give you a idea of the temp and winds
let me know if i can do anything else to assist you

My advice is to take pictures if you actually catch something. I keep hearing fish stories, but never no fish. Oh, and what time are you picking me up?
