I just picked-up some superbaits and wanted to pre-rig them for this spring and fall salmon fishing.

What are you folks finding to be the best way to rig them? (Type of line, octapus, siwash, or trebel hook, etc...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like 40 lb mono leader (Ultragreen) with either one or two single hooks depending on the size of superbait. My usual rig is a 3/0 open-eye siwash front and a 3/0 ultrapoint or matsuo rear, but you also can do well with just a standard fixed 2-hook herring leader rig (4/0 or 5/0). I've also used a siwash front and treble rear, but honestly my hookups are better with singles and they are a lot easier to store.

I really really like superbaits!
